Recreational gymnasts should wear a leotard or tight-fitting shorts or leggings and a T-shirt.
Competition gymnasts must wear a leotard and shorts (or shorts and a T-shirt for boys).
Hoodies may only be worn for the warm-up part of a session.
No loose or baggy clothing is allowed and socks may not be worn. Clothing should not have buckles, clasps, zips or raised adornments. Furthermore, hair must be tied back and all jewellery (including earrings) must be removed for safety and insurance purposes.
Saltaire Gym Club Ltd is a non-profit making, community gym club based at Baildon C of E Primary School, near Shipley, West Yorkshire. We run recreational classes, as well as competition classes training in Sports Acrobatics and Tumbling. We accept children from the age of 3, with gymnasts continuing to train up to adulthood. We are open to all and will accept everyone provided we have a place in an appropriate class.
